Our work
Just Journalism is an independent research organisation focused on how Israel and Middle East issues are reported in the UK media. We produce analysis of print, broadcast and online media and regularly publish research on trends in the media’s coverage.Just Journalism also engages in events and activities designed to stimulate debate about the wider issue of journalistic accountability in today’s rapidly changing media landscape.
Of particular interest is to what extent media coverage adheres to the journalistic standards set out in the UK’s regulatory frameworks. Please see Just Journalism’s Methodology section for more information.
Our work also focuses on the identification of trends in the reporting of key issues in Middle East affairs. For examples of our in-depth analysis, please see Media Analysis and Special Reports.
Our findings are communicated directly to journalists, as well as the general public and other interested groups. In this way we aim to lead an open dialogue about journalistic coverage of Israel and Middle East issues in the UK media.
